Rachel Cooke New Statesman This series, though distinctly sugar-coated, has so much to say about life in the 21st century it’s impossible not to feel a tiny bit complicit with some of the various deceptions at which it rather jauntily jabs a finger. Feb 18, 2025 Full Review Margaret Lyons New York Times "Vinegar" has more depth and bite than many other scam stories, with more hypotheses about what might motivate someone to perpetrate social frauds. Feb 14, 2025 Full Review Nadira Goffe Slate Just because Apple Cider Vinegar demonstrates a knowledge of the genre’s pitfalls doesn’t mean it successfully sets itself apart from the worst of its ilk. By the series’ end, it has become the very thing it mocks. Feb 12, 2025 Full Review Ronak Kotecha The Times of India In an era where social media influencers hold significant sway, ‘Apple Cider Vinegar’ offers a compelling exploration of authenticity and deception. Rated: 4/5 Mar 12, 2025 Full Review Anthony Morris ScreenHub The focus on the victims rather than the criminal gives this some much-needed heft, though ‘people will cling to almost anything that gives them hope’ probably doesn’t need six hour-long episodes to sink in Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 5, 2025 Full Review Rachel Ho Exclaim! Strauss takes a pause every so often to consider the effects of the wellness industry and influencers on everyday people. Rated: 7/10 Mar 4, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Ben N Great casting, but the fact that it is 75% constructed for drama, outside of watching the eye-catching cast, I'd rather just listen to a true to life podcast about the crimes instead of this over-hyped, over long stress fest. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/27/25 Full Review Ignacio S Kaitlyn Dever Shines Above Everyone Else This miniseries, inspired by real events, is entertaining but excessively superficial. I think its main issue is its focus, as it places too much emphasis on the personal relationships between characters and too little on the actual project. It barely covers the company’s success or the people who were part of it. It almost makes it seem like a scam when, in reality, it was something significant and relevant. The second issue is that the lead actress is so good that she makes the rest of the cast look bad. This creates a feeling of a mediocre production—where money is spent on one big name to make it marketable, but the rest of the cast feels like an afterthought. If you enjoy shows about scams, you might find it entertaining, but don’t expect in-depth coverage of the case—just plenty of soap opera-style drama. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/15/25 Full Review Emma F This show serves as a cautionary tale, warning us about the dangers of alternative medicine for serious illnesses. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/08/25 Full Review Andrei D Dever is very good, the rest tries, the narrative is at times very dark, the tone needs some work Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/25 Full Review Audience Member I’d call this five star acting and two star production. Some of the best ensemble acting I’ve seen in a long time. Absolutely first rate. And the two leads really display great talent. They are done no favors by stretching this out to 6 episodes and around the 4th episode it really gets to be too much of a slog and it seems like stretching by the numbers. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/25 Full Review Scott B Overall its a great show. What I disliked: It was hard to follow because it kept jumping back and forward and it was hard to tell which character was evil. The short story is about 2 real cancer patients who will try to do anything and pay anybody for a cure. The 3rd is just evil trying to profit off anyone for anything but where she slips up is pretending to have cancer. Worth a watch for sure. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/25 Full Review Read all reviews
